Tips On How To Apply Whiteboard Paint
No Stretching
It is important that you do not attempt to "stretch" whiteboard paint by applying it too thin. This will result in a failed application.
No Running
Do not apply whiteboard paint too heavy or it will cause the coating to "sag" or "run," also causing a failed application.
Fully Saturate
For best results, thoroughly saturate the microfiber roller nap with whiteboard paint and apply it to the wall in a vertical up and down motion.
Heel
Always lead with the "heel" of the roller applying a slight forward pressure toward the heel (gently twist the roller handle from left to right).
Vertical Patterns
Roll on the whiteboard paint in vertical patterns going up, then shifting the roller to the right, overlapping about 30% of your previous pass, and roll downward and repeat, going back up and back down until you are finished with your designated area.
Do Not Overwork
Going over and over and over whiteboard paint once it has been applied to your substrate can and will most likely affect the film forming process and cause a failed application. Do not overwork whiteboard paint!
